Congo Trip

Dear Praying Friends,
    The results of the National Elections held on July 30 came out today. President Kabila received 45% of the votes to Memba’s 25% which is Kabila’s toughest opponent.  Since President Kabila received less than 50% of the votes there will now be another vote in October as a run off between these top two candidates out of the 35 who ran.
    Now this evening the news out of Kinshasa is that the forces of Kabila and Memba are firing guns at each other there.  The UN forces were getting involved in order to stop the conflict.
    Roy and Hubert are to fly out tomorrow to Kananga on their way to Kinshasa so please pray for their safety as they go and that they will make their flights as scheduled.  Paul, Brent Duncan and I are to travel via pick up back to Lodja on Thursday and are to catch a flight out of there on Friday.
