For all of you that have been praying regularly for this project, this news will be very welcome. The barge, which left a month and a half late from the capital city of Kinshasa, arrived Saturday afternoon at the upriver port where the team is to unload their truck with all their supplies. This means the team should be able to travel on to the project site and begin work in earnest.
The team has already been sawing wood for a week and has more than enough boards for the tabernacle on the camp grounds. The Congolese minister of defense, who loaned us free space on his river barge, also loaned us the use of his saw mill and some of his men to help cut the lumber.
Our team recently discovered that the pastors’ school in the town where they have been staying is in great need of Bibles in their language. None of the students in the pastors’ school has a Bible; only the school director has one. We are praying that the Lord would provide the funds so that we could purchase Bibles for all of the pastors in the conference there.
Praise the Lord with us for the recent developments and continue praying that His purpose will be accomplished through the Katako Kombe Camp Meeting Project!
